INTERBRAND –  Various Design Work

During the Summer of 2018, I was a co-op at Interbrand in Cincinnati. While there, I was able to be a part of multiple projects involving
FC Cincinnati, Corona, Buffalo Wild Wings, Wawa, Stop & Shop,
and NRF's 2020 Big Show with Shop.org.

In 2018, I was tasked with benchmarking/researching the FC Cincinnati 2018 rebrand. After this, I took part in a team sketch session where one of my sketches was selected to be one of the four ideas to build a concept around. While it was short lived, I took the rest of the semester to develop it and see it through alongside the other concepts just for the experience, and to see how it would have looked making it to the 'final mock ups' stage.

This concept is a further out one; it incorporates every symbol fans asked for in our meetings, and features a more modern style that is able to be easily customized for the fans to make their own merchandise (very common among FC Cincinnati clubs).

This was a study for myself to see if every symbol could be incorporated versus just two initially, let's say. It's further out there, but for a 'mild' there has to be a 'wild.'

Here's a section of the work I completed for Corona.

First, Corona's Cable Car Beach Bar I helped design for the San Francisco Giants. Below each of the teams' renderings, you'll find my flat designs.

Next, a tailgate section for Corona for The University of Texas to be used the fall of 2018.

I helped strategize the layout and helped execute the mockup with photoshop. From there, I designed graphics for the cornhole boards, flags, tents, photo backdrops, etc. for the actual event. More detailed process and final images available.

Next, branding for NRF: Retail's Big Show and Shop.org's cobranding within the event.

At Interbrand, this project was purely assigned to my supervisor and me. NRF is a retail show that takes place every year in NYC.

We had to take their existing branding and pitch them two concepts, my supervisor's on the left and mine on the right.

They ultimately chose my supervisor's which I helped execute on all pieces, pictured below. They loved both concepts, so they ended up asking us to adapt it to Shop.org's colors and to implement it for their section at the show, pictured last. Best of both worlds!

*NRF'S GUIDELINES AT THE TIME

Last, work for Buffalo Wild Wing's 2018 rebrand. I helped my supervisor with branding their photography style, food photography style, concepts for takeout and seating signage, and concepts for billboards. Here's a taste of everything I touched.

I also helped out with Wawa and their 315 store's creation, here's my favorite piece I helped work on. A board depicting Philly that could highlight staff, Mocked up to depict the cork board with printed graphic, pins with string, and staff polaroid photos.

Last, I was tasked with coming up with layouts and general ideas for a pamphlet used for a retail tour in NYC for the company that was to be taken over after I left, here's some layout studies – this project really helped me get comfortable working with type and pushing myself to be more experimental. The map I worked on and my favorite spread pictured last.
